Dear All,
After opening its doors to its first group of students this year, the Film Academy is looking forward to welcoming further PhD by Practice candidates.
Set up by the University of Glamorgan on the request of Lord Attenborough, Chair of Dragon Studios (the first purpose built film studio in the UK which will begin operations in the coming twelve months), we are the only film academy in the world operating solely at post-experience PhD by practice (available full-time, part-time, or on-line) and are interested in individuals who have a high academic background or high level of experience in the media, education or related industries.
You have in the past expressed an interest in being a part of the Film Academy in order to pursue further research and enhance your knowledge and experience.
We shall be launching our new website early Spring - but in the meantime please refer to the following address for further information.

May I also refer you to the AHRB website that provides funding for PhD candidates for which you may be eligible:

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you wish to discuss further.
Very Best Wishes,
Rebecca Davies

Re: PhD study at The Film Academy.
Dear Rebecca Davies,
Please refer to your mail, I had earlier written to Professor regarding my possible visit and plans for admission to PhD program.
Recently I have shifted from India to US and I am working in LA (Hollywood), presently I am working on couple of projects for Sundance film Institute and Hubert ball fund AMSTERDAM and very soon I am planning on a visit to UK.
During the time I wish to drop by at Glamorgan University. Mean while I am writing this mail to know wheather I could register for PhD (Praxis/Practice) on line/ part time. So that it would be convenient and economical to plan my journey to UK by scheduling an appointment with Professor
Thanking you, with warm regards,
